At a time when Australian customers are demanding lower power bills and Australia is transitioning to a greater number of renewable energy options, the proposed interconnector has been identified by ElectraNet as a way to meet these needs.


Construction of the proposed interconnector and linking the energy grids of South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria would facilitate energy exchange, leading to a more effective balancing of supply and demand. This means increased energy security and enhanced network reliability, critical factors in continuing to support prosperous communities, regions and cities.
