ElectraNet has today confirmed Project EnergyConnect, the high-voltage electricity transmission interconnector between South Australia and New South Wales, will be built.
ElectraNet welcomes today’s announcement by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approving the expenditure required to deliver the proposed SA-NSW interconnector, Project EnergyConnect.
South Australia’s high-voltage transmission network owner ElectraNet has given its commitment to proceed with the proposed SA-NSW interconnector to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER), clearing the path for the regulator’s final approval stage.
Members of the public wanting to find out more about the proposed new electricity interconnector between South Australia and New South Wales, called Project EnergyConnect, can now visit an online engagement room.
ElectraNet Land Services Manager, Scott Haynes, said the new online tool expanded on the project’s comprehensive community engagement initiatives and activities.
“We want to make sure that we are giving interested members of the community as much information about the project as possible while also ensuring they have the opportunity to provide feedback as we continue to work through the approval and planning stages,†Mr Haynes said.
